COURSE 4

“THE MAN OF GODLY INITIATIVE”​

In x3 classes we will study how to take initiative and leadership of our own spiritual walk with Jesus. We will also apply this to an initiating, Christ-like servant leadership life-style. We will also talk as Men about how God calls us to care for others. Book study: “The Pursuit Of God” by A.W. Tozer.

Meetings: Sept 18, Oct 2, Oct 23.

Please Register by Sept 8 2024.

(Registration up to Sept 15th may be accepted but may result in late arrival of your book).

COURSE 5

“THE PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY”​

In x6 classes we will study the foundational principles of how to serve in a local church and “do ministry God's way”. We will study Scripture in class and also explore the book, “Calvary Distinctives” by Pastor Chuck Smith. Pastor Chuck modelled a wonderful Biblical approach to serving God in ways that truly please Jesus, which has born so much fruit over the last 60 years in the worldwide Calvary Chapel movement. We will discuss how to apply this to our city and time, and also address the many mistakes we can fall into by doing ministry in our own logic and power.

Meetings: Nov 6, Nov 20, Dec 4, Jan 8, Jan 22.

Course requirements:
   • Register per course and attend all meetings.
   • Complete reading, writing, and listening homework before deadlines given in class.
